TOUR OVERVIEW
Jewish Lviv tour led by Lviv Holocaust Research Foundation that retraces the route from Lviv ghetto to Janowska hybrid (work / transit / death) camp, delapidated Prison #30 of Ukraine today.
We visit two still hidden mass execution sites in former Occupied Poland. Both are close to Lviv city centre, but not within reasonable walking distance (taxis included).
We also visit several locations in our city centre where the Lviv pogroms were caught on camera in July, 1941. You will see original assembly points where Jewish men, women and children gathered before being transported by open tram or truck to certain death.
We have prepared then and now photos that illustrate how close modern Lviv is to its horrific recent past. We ask questions about ignorance and denial. This is an emotionally taxing experience, so ready yourself.
Much of Lviv is exactly the same today as in the 1940s. Funds received from Lviv Holocaust Tour bookings support our partner, Lviv Holocaust Research Foundation.
This tour is guided externally by Lviv Holocaust Research Foundation. Connections by taxi are included, as the main Holocaust sites are located a few miles outside Lviv.
Request a tour on WhatsApp. You can pay in cash (British pound sterling - Ukrainian hryvnia equivalent) to your guide on the day, or send a bank transfer to our IBAN / SWIFT (BIC) - details on request.
